Obviously, Gustav was not the storm that everyone expected. We are grateful for the Lord's mercy. We have actually had a fun few days getting ready for the storm, or at least what we thought it might be. We had to get the grill ready, so in preparation we had a cookout. Scott Jr., in his own style, set up a candlelight supper complete with tablecloth (bath towel), centerpiece (American flag in a flower vase), and candles of course. Today, Scott took the kids outside in the rain. CJ didn't want to get his shoes wet at first. So, after about 45 minutes of the other 2 playing and making sure the rain water was draining, CJ decides to join them. When he finally figured out getting wet was fun, we couldn't get him inside! That is - until he slipped on the concrete patio and landed on his head. He is fine, thankfully. Daddy also spent the morning building sail boats with the kids and sailing them on our flooded patio. Thanks again to Scott Jr. wanting to do a science experiment this morning! All in all, it was a fun day and made for good memories.
