Here was one of our first big science projects - which was as much or more fun for me to make as for the kids. We were studying Rocks last week, and one of the ideas was to make a volcano. Instead of making one out of clay as suggested, I decided to try my hand at paper-mache, something I haven't done since Elementary school. Thanks to a great internet site, the help of my mother-in-law (former elementary teacher) & Dad (who used to help me with all my science projects), it turned out to be a really neat & fun project. Scott Jr. didn't like getting his hands messy with the paper-mache, but he really had fun painting it!
