Mountain Vacation
We took a little vacation over the weekend to the Smoky Mountains. Scott had gotten us into a weekend timeshare preview with Blugreen near Gatlinburg, TN. If you are contemplating doing a timeshare preview, our advice is simply "Don't!" Although interesting and informative, the 1 hour presentation turned into a 3 hour presentation sitting in a kids play room where my eldest son was introduced to Nintendo playstation for the first time. The saleslady was very nice and friendly until we told her that we weren't interested at which they became very persistent and pushy. In spite of that morning, we were able to do and see a lot. We stayed one night near Maryville, TN with some old friends and made a lot of memories. All of the kids (except Jr.) got to see their first snow. You would have thought it was Christmas morning when we woke up. It was quite unexpected but we had hoped & prayed for snow. And it was so sweet of the Lord to give us that for our last morning. Did I mention that CJ & Baby Tommy had the most fun sledding of them all! And if I ever figure out how to convert our mini-DV player to a video format that you can publish on a blog, I have to share Rachel's reaction to the cold & wet of the snow. We are going to save it for the young man that comes knocking on our door - the one we want to run off! Let's just say she doesn't like to be wet or cold AT ALL. How we have such a girly girl amidst 3 boys is a mystery, but we enjoy the contrast :)
